  • KeystoneCAT6a Keystone refers to a specific type of Keystone module used for cabling with CAT6a cables. CAT6a stands for "Category 6a" and is an improved version of CAT6 cables. The "a" in CAT6a stands for "augmented", which indicates that it offers additional performance features.
  • The CAT6a cables support transmission speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second over a maximum distance of 100 meters. In comparison, conventional CAT6 only supports speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second over the same distance.
  • CAT6a Keystone modules are often used in conjunction with Keystone wall plates or patch panels. They allow easy installation and replacement of CAT6a network outlets, RJ-45 jacks or other connectors that can be plugged into the keystone openings of the wall plates or patch panels.
  • With CAT6a Keystone cabling, businesses or home networks can realize high-speed connections while providing better noise rejection and interference shielding, which is important for demanding network environments where a high data transfer rate is required.
